How Our Online Florida Cosmetology CE Course Works, Step by Step

From registration and license verification to the quiz and instant certificate: see exactly how the MDT Beauty School online CE course works.
Here is the full process, so there are no surprises.
Step 1: Create your account
Register with your name, email, phone, ZIP code, license type (Cosmetologist, Full Specialist, Nail Specialist or Facial Specialist) and license number. We check your license against the Florida DBPR public records right away. If something does not match, you can request a quick manual review.
Step 2: Pay securely
Payment is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. We never see or store your card number. The course price and a small card processing fee are shown before you pay.
Step 3: Read the booklet
Your booklet covers the full 10 hours: HIV/AIDS, sanitation and sterilization, OSHA, workers' compensation, laws and rules, chemical makeup of hair, skin and nails, environmental issues, and the Skin Cancer elective.
- It is shown one screen at a time, so there is no long scrolling.
- Use Next and Back on your phone, tablet or computer.
- There is no deadline. Leave and return whenever you want, even after you pass.
Step 4: Take the quiz
When you have studied the material, confirm it and start the quiz. You need 75% (18 of 23 questions) to pass, and you have up to five attempts.
Step 5: Get your certificate
As soon as you pass, your certificate of completion is ready to download, and we email you a copy. Keep it for your records.
Step 6: We report to the DBPR
Your completion is reported to the Florida DBPR electronically. Hours usually appear in your DBPR account within a few business days. You stay responsible for your own renewal deadline, so do not wait until the last day.
