Is this course approved by the state?
Yes. It is DBPR-approved course #0501822 (provider PVD703) for Florida cosmetology license renewal.
Which states and licenses do you cover?
We are active in Florida only. The course is for active Florida Cosmetologists, Full Specialists, Nail Specialists and Facial Specialists.
How is my license checked?
When you register, your license type, number and name are matched automatically against the DBPR Cosmetology public records. If something does not match, you can send it for a quick manual review.
How long do I have to finish?
There is no time limit. Study at your own pace and come back to the booklet whenever you want, even after you pass.
What score do I need to pass?
You need 75% on the 23-question quiz (18 correct). You have up to 5 attempts.
Do you report my hours to the DBPR?
Yes. We report your completion to the Florida DBPR electronically, usually within a few business days. You remain responsible for meeting your own renewal deadline, so please do not wait until the last day.
When do I get my certificate?
Immediately after you pass. You can download it from your account, and we also email a copy to you.
How much does it cost?
$26.00 plus a $1.09 processing fee ($27.09 total).
Is my payment secure?
Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. We never see or store your card number.
Can I get a refund?
Because course access is delivered instantly, refunds are limited. See our Refund Policy for the exceptions, such as duplicate charges.
My name or license number is wrong on the certificate.
Contact support and we will correct it. Please do it right away so the report to the DBPR is correct.
Can I take the course for someone else, or add several licenses?
No. Each account is for one licensee and must use that person's own license.
Do I need to take CE at all?
Most Florida licensees must complete continuing education each renewal cycle. Some licensees may qualify for an exemption. Check with the DBPR to see whether you do.
Is the course available in Spanish?
